Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research: annual report 2024

Overview

In 2024, the Alliance began implementing its new strategy, Aiming for impact (2024-2028). Around the world, we have advanced work in each of our focus areas, guided by three strategic shifts – strengthening and scaling up impact, engaging more comprehensively with country priorities, and building new partnerships within the global health architecture.
 
In 2024 the Alliance supported:

• 68 grants across 17 projects in 43 countries and territories.
• 46 peer-reviewed journal articles, 41% of lead authors women
• 11 major meetings and consultation 

We also took a new approach to understanding impact in this report. Read more about how the Alliance-backed projects are contributing to stronger, more resilient health systems through: changing how health systems issues are understood, discussed and solved; strengthening skills; changing practice; building connections; and informing policy and processes.
