Project NIGRAAN, an Alliance-funded implementation research project that aims to reduce deaths due to diarrhoea and pneumonia in Sindh, Pakistan, has been featured in the October 2015 issue of Scientia. In the interview (page 52), Dr Fauziah Rabbani (Principal Investigator and Chair, Department of Community Health Sciences, Aga Khan University) discusses how the project has progressed since 2011 and the measures being taken by policy makers to support the development of frontline healthcare in Pakistan. Project NIGRAAN uses approaches such as systemic training and mentorship of female health workers to support access to good quality health care.
