The Evidence for Policy and Practice Information and Co-ordinating Centre (EPPI-Centre), UCL Institute of Education, University College London has produced a study brief on an Alliance-funded project to better understand and improve the policy-relevance of systematic reviews for health systems research.
Several institutional mechanisms that can bring systematic reviews and policy priorities closer together were identified. Among these include: harnessing organisational and individual motivations, emphasizing engagement between policy and research, embedding efforts in conducive structures and supporting them with formalized procedures.
