Co-hosted by AcademyHealth and the Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research, this webinar examines how the growing use of artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping the health policy and systems research (HPSR) ecosystem.
Drawing on global experiences, expert speakers will explore how AI is being used across the research lifecycle - from knowledge synthesis and data analysis to policy translation and learning. The webinar will discuss both opportunities and risks, including implications for research quality, equity, and accountability, as well as the potential for AI to shape evidence-informed decision-making. The session will also consider the broader, cascading effects of AI adoption on the HPSR workforce, institutional practices, and governance, highlighting emerging principles and practical considerations for the responsible, transparent, and context-sensitive use of AI in health systems research.
