Over the past 25 years, the field of health policy and systems research (HPSR) has emerged as a cornerstone of strong health systems, enabling healthy populations, ensuring health security and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The third in a series of seminars coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research, this event in Beirut, Lebanon, was hosted by the Knowledge to Policy (K2P) Centre at the American University of Beirut. It provided a country-level focus on the importance of evidence generation and use for institution-building in HPSR, capacity strengthening for HPSR, and future and opportunities for HPSR’s further growth and development.
