The Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research and the WHO Department of Essential Medicines & Health Products will be hosting a seminar on Thursday 19 March from 12:30-13:45 at WHO HQ (Salle G) on the recently-published Alliance Flagship Report: "Medicines in Health Systems: Advancing access, availability and appropriate use".
The event will be presented by co-editor of the report, Dr Anita K Wagner of the Department of Population Medicine, Harvard Medical School, and co-chaired by Dr Abdul Ghaffar and Dr Gilles Forte.
The Alliance`s 4th Flagship Report on "Medicines in Health Systems: Advancing access, affordability and appropriate use" applies a systems approach to medicines. Through various country-case studies, the report illustrates major challenges and advances in the access, affordability and appropriate use of medicines in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
