As part of its programme on Improving Programme Implementation through Embedded Research (iPIER), the Alliance is organizing a protocol development workshop for selected teams in Cairo, Egypt from 9-13 March 2015. The workshop will be facilitated by experts from the WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean and the Alliance. In addition to giving an opportunity for decision makers and researchers to work together to ensure that implementation research activities reflect the needs and priorities of decision-makers, the workshop will help teams strengthen their research protocols through interactions with leaders in the field. 30 participants, representing 14 teams are scheduled to participate.
