Kanika has a wide range of skills and extensive working experience in the areas of finance and budgeting, work planning and management and WHO management systems.
She is from Cambodia with a background in accounting and management. She has a master’s degree in business management, a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a bachelor’s degree in English Language from universities in Cambodia.
Before joining the Alliance, she worked as Programme Associate for WHO Country Office in Cambodia for almost 15 years, providing support on workplan and budget management, financial management and management of the Human Resources Plan. Kanika is a good communicator and takes ownership of challenges and problems. She was the first WHO support staff member within the region to receive an Award from the Regional Director for Excellence in Client Services. She is also the first Cambodian national to work at WHO Headquarters.
