Biography

Daniela is a health policy and systems researcher focused on the intersection of politics and public health. She has specific interests in how evidence, actor relationships and incentives, and political commitment inform policies and programmes – from development through implementation.

Prior to joining the Alliance, she was a faculty member at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health where she conducted research and evaluations on health policy and implementation, health systems strengthening, and donor transition and sustainability. She also taught and was involved in mentorship programmes.

Daniela holds a Master’s in Public Health degree in Global Health from Emory University, and a Doctor in Public Health degree from the University of California, Berkeley. She served as Chair of the Translating Evidence to Action Thematic Working Group of Health Systems Global from 2016–2021.
