The Alliance Secretariat is hosted and administered by the World Health Organization in Geneva and carries out the day-to-day implementation of the Alliance work plan, as determined by the Board.

Dr Rasanathan is a public health physician with a strong background in health policy and systems research and extensive experience working at different levels of the World Health Organization and within the wider UN system.

Mr John WARRINER
Technical Officer
Biography
John handles all management and administrative functions at the Alliance, responsible for human resources, IT and governance. He also oversees our engagement with Health Systems Global and is our focal-point for the bi-annual symposia.
Before joining the Alliance, he served as HR, IT and Administrative Manager for the Global Forum for Health Research. There, he also managed the Global Forum’s administrative staff and all IT aspects related to the annual Forum meetings.
He started his career at the U.S. Arms Control and Disarmament Agency, serving on numerous U.S. delegations, while providing technical and administrative support. In addition, John assisted on a Presidential visit and several congressional visits.
He holds a BA degree in International Relations from the University of Richmond.
